Dedalus And Corti Usher In The Agentic EHR Era Across Europe

Dedalus is bringing Corti-powered agentic AI into ORBIS, evolving the EHR from a system of record into a deeply integrated system of action that gives clinicians more time with patients.

BERLIN / COPENHAGEN, October 22, 2026: Corti, the frontier lab for clinical-grade AI, today announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Dedalus, a leading global provider of healthcare and diagnostic IT solutions, to bring advanced agentic AI capabilities to Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems across Europe. At the heart of the expanded partnership is ORBIS Buddy, a fully agentic layer for Dedalus’ ORBIS EHR built on the Corti Agentic Framework and Speech Technologies. The partnership moves the ORBIS EHR beyond information management toward a deeply embedded, integrated AI workflow platform, where clinicians direct the system in natural language, by voice or text, and AI agents carry out the work across the record.

Electronic health records bring together the full clinical picture, from patient history and medications to results, notes, orders, alerts and tasks. But accessing and acting on that information still means navigating multiple modules, views and forms, adding up to significant time spent operating software instead of caring for patients.

Dedalus built ORBIS Buddy in collaboration with Corti to meet that challenge, expanding AI from documentation and information management into agentic workflow support. It sits on top of ORBIS as an intelligence layer. This is the beginning of a broader vision for the future of clinical workflows. Over time, clinicians will simply say what they need, and Buddy will do the navigating for them, from retrieving a patient’s history to preparing orders, keeping the human in the loop with built-in checks, whilst giving time back to the physicians to focus on their patients and the delivery of care.

ORBIS stays as capable as ever, while the clinician’s experience becomes simpler and faster. Dedalus will roll out ORBIS Buddy in the DACH region first, followed by expansion into other European countries. In early use, Buddy is helping clinicians access patient information more quickly and interact with ORBIS through natural language, reducing the navigation typically required across multiple screens and modules. It also supports the creation of structured clinical documentation, writing back information into the system as and when needed, helping to ease administrative burden while keeping clinicians in control of every entry. The beauty also lies in the combination of the different AI technologies to ease the administrative burden according to the different scenarios. For example, in the context of a patient consultation a physician can choose to interact with Buddy by having both ambient listening on but also asking questions e.g. A reminder of certain guidelines or lab results in the context of the consultation. Built natively within ORBIS, every action is validated, auditable, and traceable, providing the governance and reliability needed for healthcare environments. Behind that simple experience is a production-grade multi-agent system, underpinned by the Corti Agentic Framework and built from highly configured agents that understand clinical workflows and meet the level of clinical robustness that hospital care requires.

Every agent action is validated, governed, and audited, and Corti’s clinical-grade speech-to-text powers the voice-first experience when it comes to both dictation to Buddy as well as ambient listening in the patient consultation setting. A central orchestrator coordinates specialized AI agents, each handling a specific part of ORBIS or drawing on an external clinical knowledge source like Thieme and Elsevier, and connects them through open protocols. Because it is native to ORBIS, every action lands where care happens, and the clinician confirms each step. ORBIS Buddy provides a standardized clinical workflow layer, enabling natural-language interaction, intelligent information retrieval, workflow actions, and write-back into the patient record, with governance, monitoring, and analytics built in.

“ORBIS has always been built around the needs of clinicians, with and for them. With Buddy, clinicians can put the full power of ORBIS to work within one easy to use interface. Partnering with Corti gives us a production-grade agentic framework, as well as the governance, compliance, and data provenance capabilities we need to deliver a high-quality product across our hospital network,” said Siobhan McMahon, Director of AI and Transformation at Dedalus.

The collaboration began with ORBIS Speech Assistant, focused on ambient documentation, and has since grown into a deeper agentic partnership across Europe, supported by Corti ADVANCE. ADVANCE, Corti’s deployment offering for strategic customers, pairs Corti’s production-validated agent patterns and API platform with forward deployed engineers, helping strategic partners like Dedalus bring clinical-grade AI to the clinicians they serve, faster.

Behind ORBIS Buddy is Corti's sovereign AI infrastructure, built for highly regulated environments where reliability is essential.Through a close collaboration with NVIDIA, Corti's inference stack runs on NVIDIA GPUs and Triton Inference Server to power realtime, complex, multi-agent systems. The same stack also powers Corti's newest models, built on open models and offered through an OpenAI-compatible API, giving organizations frontier-level intelligence and performance with full control over how and where their AI runs.

“Every EHR vendor in the world is asking how to become agentic without losing control. Dedalus is answering that question at the heart of its flagship platform. When governed agents meet a great EHR, the result is deeply embedded AI that clinicians can trust at the point of care,” said Lars Maaløe, Co-founder and CTO of Corti.

The message to the market is clear. The next generation of the EHR is agentic. Dedalus shows what that looks like in practice in ORBIS: an EHR that works alongside clinicians at every step of care, so doctors spend less time on screens and more time with their patients.
