Corti and Posos bring certified medication intelligence to clinical AI agents

Clinical AI agents are moving from pilots to production. Hundreds of healthcare organizations are now building on the Corti Agentic Framework across workflows including nursing triage, clinical documentation, report generation, procedure coding, and clinical guideline support. As these agents take on more complex clinical tasks, one requirement keeps surfacing: reliable, auditable medication knowledge.

That is what today's partnership with Posos is designed to address.

Posos, a French medtech company specializing in AI-assisted prescribing, is becoming one of the first Experts integrated into the Corti Agentic Framework. Through the integration, clinical AI agents built on Corti can query Posos in real time to identify contraindications, drug interactions, and patient-specific risks, with therapeutic adjustments referenced by authoritative sources.

Why medication reasoning is one of the hardest problems in clinical AI

Medication risk is one of the most consequential areas in healthcare. According to research from the NEJM Group, 39% of hospital complications are linked to medications. That risk compounds as populations age: one third of elderly patients now manage more than 10 medications per day, according to Irdes.

Getting this right in an AI agent context is not just a data problem. It requires certified, explainable, and auditable pharmaceutical knowledge that can operate across clinical settings and regulatory environments.

Posos brings exactly that. Its drug database is approved by the French National Authority for Health. Its APIs are CE Class IIb Medical Device-certified. Its knowledge graph is natively encoded in international terminologies including SNOMED CT, FHIR, ATC, and ICD-10, covering the multilingual, multi-terminology requirements of real European clinical environments.

How the integration works

Posos Expert is now available in Corti's Agent Library. Developers and software vendors building clinical AI agents on Corti can equip those agents with direct access to Posos' pharmaceutical knowledge layer, without a standalone medication-specific integration project.

The integration is built on open interoperability standards including Model Context Protocol, FHIR, and Agent-to-Agent protocols. For EHRs, telemedicine platforms, and practice management systems already connected to Corti, adding Posos medication expertise is a configuration decision, not an integration project.

Production deployment and regulatory validation are assessed country by country, reflecting the variation in healthcare regulatory requirements across European markets.

What this means for developers building on Corti

The Corti Agentic Framework was designed on a principle that clinical AI agents should only rely on components that meet clinical-grade standards. Medication reasoning is one of the most sensitive areas in any care pathway. Adding a certified, auditable expert layer for this domain means developers building on Corti can extend their agents into prescribing support workflows with the compliance posture those workflows require.

"Corti is building the agent infrastructure that will transform medical practice over the coming decade. For that promise to become real at the patient's bedside, we need trusted experts in each of the most critical areas of the care pathway. Medication is one of the most sensitive. We are proud to have been chosen by Corti as a global medication expert, because it validates the conviction we have held since 2018: AI can truly enhance the physician's role only when it relies on certified, auditable, and finely personalized prescribing algorithms." — Emmanuel Bilbault, CEO and co-founder of Posos

"Clinical AI agents will only earn their place in care pathways if every component they rely on is clinical-grade. Medication reasoning is one of the most sensitive areas in healthcare, and Posos has built the certified, auditable layer this domain requires. This is exactly why we designed the Corti Agentic Framework to work with best-in-class Experts: so developers can build safer, more compliant clinical AI from the ground up." — Andreas Cleve, CEO and co-founder of Corti

Announced at SantExpo 2026

The partnership is being announced at SantExpo 2026, taking place May 19-21 at Paris Porte de Versailles. Organized by the French Hospital Federation, SantExpo brings together more than 35,000 healthcare professionals. The Posos and Corti teams are on site this week demonstrating how Posos medication expertise integrates into clinical AI agents built on Corti.
