The engineering directors behind our next chapter

Corti
We’re thrilled to introduce three new technology leaders who will continue to build Corti’s AI as the most trusted in healthcare.

Founded as a research company back in 2016, we have worked tirelessly to create an industry-leading adaptable API trained on over 100 million patient interactions trusted by partners in the U.S. and Europe to lighten the load on healthcare providers by reducing daily workloads and minimizing errors.

Committed to offering the AI infrastructure of choice in the healthcare industry—we’re excited to introduce three new engineering directors who will ensure the maturity and growth of our distinct platform.

Kevin Pelgrims, Jacob Knapp Lönroth, and Yigit Can Arin bring something unique to our innovative software engineering teams. But what they all have in common is their software engineering and leadership expertise—as well as a proven track record working for world-renowned technology brands.

For Yigit, Corti hits a sweet spot

Yigit has worked in software engineering at household names Microsoft and Spotify—and served as CTO of workplace safety software Buddywise, which he also co-founded. Now at Corti, Yigit will lead the Healthcare Applications team.

“What drew me to Corti is its mission. There’s nothing more impactful than contributing to the well-being of people on such a broad scale, and I believe Corti wants to be at the forefront of that effort. Plus, the chance to dive deep into cutting-edge generative AI is an opportunity I couldn't pass up!

Yigit says this felt like the ideal time to join Corti—hitting “that sweet spot”, where exciting startup energy and significant growth traction meet.

“There’s room to innovate, experiment, and make a real difference, but there’s also the momentum to achieve major milestones.”

As a leader, he says that he balances both the technical vision with the commercial side—aligning technology strategy with broader business goals to make a real impact.

Kevin now leads speech recognition – the cornerstone of Corti

Meanwhile, Kevin is no stranger to the healthtech space, having previously worked at US-based clinical trial software Medable.

He’s come to head up a team working on the machine learning models that are used by Corti’s Co-Pilot and Mission Control features. That includes the speech recognition that forms the cornerstone of Corti’s products and enables all its smart features.

“I’ve spent half my career working on products that improve the lives of patients and healthcare professionals. Letting doctors focus on the patient instead of their computer could make a huge difference for them and their patients. I believe Corti has the potential to do not just that, but also help doctors with contextual information when useful."

As a leader, Kevin describes himself as “forever curious”—a trait that drives him to explore new things in technology and team collaboration.

Jacob brings a serial entrepreneur spirit

Jacob has been an engineering leader for over 13 years—with a background serving as a CTO in multiple startups.

“With a background as a serial entrepreneur, I’m hoping to bring a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and entrepreneurial spirit to Corti,”

Jacob joined Corti to lead the AI Platform, which encompasses the R&D, Platform, and AI teams – each playing a critical role in making our solutions innovative, scalable, and reliable.

“With previous experience leading AI and machine learning initiatives, I wanted to be part of an AI-first company that is pushing boundaries in a meaningful industry,”

“What excites me the most is the potential impact we can make by improving patient outcomes and being part of transforming how healthcare works.”
